We had no guarantees of tomorrow with Jonas.

We had four more children after Jonas, and we had many years of life together as a family that entailed summer camps, soccer, youth orchestra, concerto competitions, meeting a former president, 20 years being street musicians at Dicken's on the Strand, Texas All-State Orchestra, Junior Olympics, traveling a bazillion miles back and forth to Houston and even attending a World Series baseball game.

We were blessed to have Jonas another 3 more years after this.  In January of 2014, our lives were altered permanently when we lost Jonas to an antibiotic resistant bacterial pneumonia.  Life has never been the same for me, my husband, or any of Jonas' siblings.  We have made adjustments as a family to live with our new normal.  It hasn't been easy but God has been and continues to be faithful.

My desire is to journey with you and your family offering you hope, letting you into our internal struggles, teaching you what I have learned about myself as well as my family physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  Grief and trauma never have to define who you will become but they will shape who you become.  Allowing and embracing these events wherever they meet you in life without your consent will grow you and make you a better person and family.
It is a part of developing super immunity in body, soul, and spirit!
